Sales Technician

An enthusiastic customer orientated Sales Technician with extensive mechanical and technical knowledge surrounding agricultural machinery is required to join the UK's largest aftermarket spares provider of agricultural machine parts. Sales Technician Key responsibilities:

•Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers.
•Offer technical assistance.
•Evaluate customer feedback and work with the Sales Manager & Product Development Engineer on new product development.
•Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone and e-mail.
•Process telephone, e-mail, internet and fax orders of both trade and retail customers.
•Attend training sessions supplied by manufacturers to develop relevant knowledge and skills to obtain growth in sales and promotion of certain brands.

Sales Technician Key Requirements:

•Driven and enthusiastic with excellent organisational skills, able to solve problems both on a customer service and engineering level (Essential)
•Excellent Telephone manner and the ability to deal with the public as well as other engineers and main dealerships (Essential)
•IT literate, with a sound understanding of outlook and web browsers (Essential)
•A basic understanding of Sage would be beneficial (Desirable)
•A Mechanical engineering qualification or substantial practical experience working on machinery (Essential)
•Any knowledge and enthusiasm for all types of tractor, vintage classic and modern would be beneficial (Desirable)
•Able to work as a team in a busy office environment and at exhibitions (Essential)

Cell Engineer Grinding Setter - Job Purpose:

This role will support operations by setting and approving equipment to run in a safe and efficient way. This is a skilled role, requiring attention to detail, making sure products are produced within specification limits and customer quality expectations.
Cell Engineer Grinding Setter Accountabilities:
•Setting Grinding machines in accordance with H&S regulations as well as process control plans.
•To safely set and approve Grinding machines to run, ensuring product quality levels are achieved.
•Reading engineering, customer drawings and quality documentation to validate product sizes.
Cell Engineer Grinding Setter Requirements:
•Previous experience within a production environment or in an Engineering or Grinding setting role (Essential)
•Experience of working within a strong H&S Culture (Essential)
•Experience in setting Bore, Centreless, Groove, Blanchard, Pin, Supfina or Peter Walters grinders (Desirable)
•An Advanced Apprenticeship in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent (Desirable)
•A GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (Desirable)

Production Setter

(Various Shifts Available)

My client who is a global materials engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of high specification products with extraordinary properties are recruiting for an experienced Production Setter to join their production department.

Production Setter - Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for the set-up, operation, and total productive maintenance (TPM) activities for various production processes such as pressing, grinding and / or lapping. This is a vital role ensuring the machinery delivers quality components in line with output targets.

Production Setter Accountabilities:

•Setting machines in accordance with H&S regulations and the process control plans.
•Adjusting machine cycle times to achieve component specification and target output rate.
•To interpret component drawings to determine component specifications.
•Using measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
•Using tools such as SMED to improve change over efficiency to reduce down-time.
•Introducing shadow board and line side tooling to reduce waste.
•Responsible for championing 6S and developing a culture of lean manufacturing.
•Performing & developing PM & TPM activities to ensure continuous operation of machines, monitoring the condition of machine parts and replacing when required.
•Training others to set & operate equipment safely and to the process control plan.
Production Setter Requirements:

•Ideally possess an Advanced Apprenticeship level qualification or equivalent in an engineering discipline (Essential)
•Experience in set-up, operation and total productive maintenance (TPM) activities for various production processes such as pressing, grinding and / or lapping (Essential)
•Previous proven experience in a production machine setting role (Essential)
•Experience of managing within a strong H&S Culture (Essential)
•A Yellow Belt Lean qualification (Desirable)
