The Role:

You will lead and manage a team of 3 Quality professionals whilst maintaining customer relations and improving quality systems. Key responsibilities include ensuring product excellence and adherence to Quality standards and championing a `right-first-time` ethos across the business.

Day to day duties will include the following:

•Full ownership of the Quality Management Systems.
•Leading all quality related issues.
•Management of both internal and external audit schedules.

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

•Understanding of engineering drawings and understand dimensional characteristics, tolerances and metric / imperial units. (Essential)

•Working knowledge of APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP. (Essential)

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer / CI Leader on behalf of a well-established manufacturer based in Redditch. Our client is a world leader in their filed.

Reporting to the General Manager. You will develop and maintain systems and procedures for effective management of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety across the site. The role will also act as the Lead Engineer for Continuous Improvement activities including developing lean manufacturing processes and process monitoring relating to raw material production.

Day to day duties will include the following:

_Represent site during external audits to identify and improve areas of weakness with the company's systems & procedures identified as a result of these audits.
_Provide management with regular information on customer complaints, returns and the cost of quality including internal and external using appropriate measures.
_Liaise with internal customers and external customers on quality standards and issues.
_Ensure to maintain the ISO system on site.
_Develop and maintain lean manufacturing processes.
_Work closely with the Production Team to establish and improve manufacturing processes, leading and driving continuous improvement in these areas.

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced quality engineering professional who is looking to enhance their career and skills within Quality of Special Process engineering in a fast-paced environment. Our client is a is a leading company specialising in PVD/CVD Coatings, Vacuum brazing & Heat treatment of components for the Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical and Engineering industries.

The role:

You will work directly with the site Quality Manager in the improvement and control of processes on site together with the control and maintenance of the Quality Management System. The role will also entail acting as department deputy in the quality manager's absence. The Job Holder will be recruited to join a small efficient team which will fully support production in meeting our customer requirements. Training will be given as required to enable the successful candidate to fulfil their tasks.

Day to day duties will include the following:

•Handling & investigation of non-conformities, complaints and concessions
•Implementing PFMEA for production processing and working with production management and technical authorities to improve processes.
•Assist the quality manager with audits including customer, NADCAP and ISO9001/AS9100
•Ensure that internal audits are being performed and reviewed
•Carry out key supplier audits
•Inspection of Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical and other components in line with customer requirements
•Ensuring that all site calibration and maintenance activities are being performed to schedule along with the review & approval of these activities
