Job Description

Our client are a renowned manufacturer of small fasteners and clips. They are seeking an experienced Press Toolmaker for their busy operations.

Day to day duties will include the following:
•Producing new tools (Essential)
•Building and developing new press tools - progression and single stage and sample tooling (Essential)
•Break down and rebuild of tools for maintenance, repairs and re-grinds (Essential)
•Provide feedback to design department to update technical data (Essential)
•Problem solving, issues arising from manufacture and repair (Essential)
•Required to perform within a team, organize work load (Essential)
•Able to carry out tool try out first stage quality inspections (Essential)
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
•Time served, apprentice trained toolmaker (Essential)
•Conversant with manufacture and servicing of multi - stage progression tools (Essential)
•Knowledge of machining processes - milling, turning, surface grinding (Essential)
•Ability to read complex drawings (Essential)
•Ability to work to fine tolerances (Essential)
•Expertise in pneumatics and hydraulics would be advantageous (Advantageous)
