Our client are a leading manufacturer of supply for high quality gunmetal and plastic water fittings. They are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for their busy operations.
Day to day duties will include the following:
•National key account manager for water companies, water contractors (Water company and self lay) and merchants covering the UK (Essential)
•Commercial account management, including price management and quotations (Essential)
•Technical support including attending site for trials and training (Essential)
•Field customer enquiries in the office (Essential)
•Part of a tender team to compete for water framework business (Essential)
•Provide forecasting insight to the manufacturing manager (Essential)
•Collection of market data including pricing, volumes and trends (Essential)
As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
•Hands on experience of selling products to water companies within the industry (Essential)
•Knowledge of live contacts within the industry (Essential)
•Engineering knowledge / background (Mechanically preferred, civil engineering useful) (Essential)
•Hands on and practical. Comfortable in a factory environment (Essential)
•Experience of the product life cycle. Handling product launches, fielding technical queries (Essential)
