Workforce are recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician - offering a starting salary of 35,000 - 40,000 DOE - to work for our client in the Wolverhampton area.
Role and Responsibilities
• Using 2D and 3D software such as Tekla and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of light gauge and SFS structural design is essential.
• Ability to convert between 2D and 3D easily and extrapolate drawings from 3D modelling.
• Progress drawing projects, including design/modification sign-off as required.
• Undertake design and analysis of designs as required.
• Provide customer support when needed.

General
• Understand alternative materials and production methods, have technical, practical and scientific knowledge.
• To be able to use drawings, 3D models and computer designs to express creative ideas.
• Be comfortable to explain ideas and technical data to colleagues who may not be from a technical function within the business.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Use of AutoCAD and Tekla
• Microsoft Office software.
• 5 GCSE's or equivalent, including A*-C: Maths, English and Science
• Appropriate education for the task - Structural / Civil Engineering Degree

Workforce are recruiting for an experienced Instrumentation Project Design Engineer - offering a starting salary truly reflective of your experience, a 36.25 hour working week, Paid sick scheme, life assurance, access to stakeholder pension schemes - to work for our client in the West Bromwich area. Knowledge of Chemical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, PLC (Allen Bradley) design and programming (ladder and functional block) is essential.
Role and Responsibilities
• The ability to create and use/understand CAD drawings including all types of Electrical, Instrumentation drawings and P&ID's.
• The ability to design and program PLC (Allen Bradley) based systems using ladder and functional block designs, also knowledge of SCADA and HMI's.
• Full life-cycle management of instrumentation projects from design to commissioning.
• The ability to manage the modification of instrumentation plant via a management of change system
General
• Have experience working within the chemical process or other similar regulated industries. E.g. Pharmaceutical, Petro-chemical, Food, or Oil & Gas
• A good knowledge of Planned Preventive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance and continuous improvement will be highly beneficial.
• Experienced in working to ISO 9001 standard.
• Experience of and a good understanding of the instrumentation aspects of DSEAR/ATEX compliance.
• Sound knowledge of HSE requirements

Role and Responsibilities
• Using 2D and 3D software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks and/or Inventor.
• Knowledge of Finglow Design software is essential.
• Modify existing design projects and be able to produce conceptual designs for new product ranges.
• Work on bespoke projects and recurring design work with a typical 60% / 40% spilt between conceptual and modification design.
• Complete pressure calculations for designed products.
