I am recruiting for a client who are a global leading supplier of manufacturer of high performance fasteners, sealing, precision engineered components. They are currently looking to recruit for a CNC Setter/ Operator (Turner), As the Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating Victor model lathes using Fanuc controls.

Day to day duties will include the following:
• Ability to accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards.
• Must have experience operating and setting CNC Lathes.
• Experience with Victor model Lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Experience in the production of one-off to 5k batches of fasteners would be advantageous.
• Must be able to work from technical drawings.
• Be able to conduct first off quality inspection
• Be able to ensure that batches are produced at a consistent quality for the duration of the run.

The Role
As Maintenance Engineer the successful candidate will provide a pro-active approach to the prevention of equipment failure and ensuring the appropriate schedule PM is carried out as planned.

Responsibilities:
• Carrying out work assignments always issued by the Maintenance Manager whilst maximizing effectiveness of the shift .
• Following all work instructions, procedures, and job descriptions at all times.

• Lead and support cross-functional teams on functional safety matters across the entire V-cycle. Application areas include but are not limited to Engine management systems, Chassis systems such as ABS, Electronic suspension & body control modules, HMI systems and cyber security.

• Educated to degree level in an Engineering / Science based subject.
