Job Details
oResponsible for the efficient operation of your area within the Manufacturing function;
oTo provide support to the Manufacturing Manager with the day-to-day management of your manufacturing area.
oProvide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets,
oKey Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.
oDevelop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Delivering manufacturing excellence by ensuring:
opeople and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
othat team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements
othat we maintain full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times
oall records are completed appropriately
othat non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated
othat the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
oAchievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets.
oThat the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilities
oManage work order closures and stock control transactions
oMaintain visible lead for adherence to procedures and instructions
oMonitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools including calibration
oSupport root cause analysis and resolve problems
oIdentify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
oConduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
oResponsible for day to day management of team including absence management, holidays and training of operators for products and processes within the local team
oConsistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
oSupport, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

Experience and OR Qualifications Desirable
oBTec first certificate or equivalent NVQ level 2 qualification
oSix Sigma Qualification
oMinimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing environment
oCompetence in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
oDemonstrable evidence of leading a team
oAbility to communicate with employees at all levels of the business
oUnderstanding and ability to work in an SME
oLean manufacturing/kaizen experience
oERP systems knowledge
Job Title:Quality Engineer

Reporting to:Quality Manager

Prime Objective:Maintaining AS9100 (RevD), ISO9001: 2015 & ISO17025: 2017 standard approvals.

Timescale:Permanent Position

Remuneration:Salary commensurate with experience


General Responsibilities/Requirements:

_Maintaining AS9100, ISO9001 & ISO17025 standards
_Qualified auditor.
_Use of turtle diagrams in auditing practices.
_Audits of the QMS and suppliers to schedule.
_Raising / modifying procedures & works instructions
_Customer / Internal and supplier NCR monitoring using Mietrak ERP system
_Producing / maintaining data for key performance indicators.
_External / 3rd Party audit participation
_Working knowledge of EN 9102 FAIR (Forms 1, 2, 3 & 4) requirements along with the IATF 16949 PPAP completions.
_Ability to train inspectors to work to EN 9102 and IATF16949 requirements
_Working knowledge of Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (IAQG-OASIS)
_Raise plan of training for the entire workforce and deliver it.
_Ability to operate & communicate within all functions of PTI.
_Can use Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Word).
_Utilise the business ERP system (MieTrak).
_Problem solving (Customer, Internal and Suppliers).
_5 Whys and Ishikawa.
_Production of Local Works Instructions and Quality Control Documents.
_Ability to raise all PPAP documents such as - Ballooned drawings, Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, Gauge R&R studies & Part submission warrants
_Calibration system management / maintenance
_Must have a good eye for detail.
_Can use & program CMM's (BHN706 and Inspect 3D Pro, 3D Geopak-3, & Euro Apex C-A776 MCosmos3 software)
_Use of 1st principle measuring instruments.
_Ensures adherence to the Environmental Health & Safety policy at all times
_Promotes Environmental Health & Safety awareness
_Monitor, control and implement where necessary risk assessment procedures
Ensures all team members are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment and use it

_Able to demonstrate a good understanding of all applicable QMS requirements.

Due to rapid growth we are looking for a CNC Setter Operator Programmer to program and run CNC machines. The candidate needs to be self-motivated and be ready to take on a challenge as a lot of are jobs are one offs which makes the job so varied and rewarding
Being a family run business, we try to get away from the factory felling of a work shop. We are more like a team. A lot of our work is special one off's and we do some small batch work

Day to day duties will include the following:

The successful candidate will be expected to program, set and run CNC Milling 3/4 axis DRO predominantly aluminium and stainless steel for sub contract machining company

They manufacture intermediates for the Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality Chemical industries as well as many others and our team of chemists are experts in custom synthesis, contract manufacture and process optimisation.

A vacancy has arisen to join their Mechanical department. This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering team within a lower tier COMAH facility. The successful candidate will be an experienced, qualified Mechanical Fitter. You will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a range of departments to ensure that daily goals are achieved.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience listed below:-

Mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance work.
Mechanical plant installation and modification work.
Statutory inspections - pressure testing, plant integrity and commissioning work.

The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.

Qualifications/Training

You will need to have a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and educated to ONC or City and Guilds level 3 (RQF level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering as a minimum.
Ideally you would also have training with MEWP's, Abrasive wheels, Welding equipment and Confined Spaces.
