Opportunity Summary:
We have a vacancy within our Saffron Aero Engine Department and are currently recruiting for the role of a CNC Mill Turn Operator. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.
The role holder will be accountable for the manufacture and assembly of products in line with the Company's documented standard processes and quality requirements, including meeting individual and departmental performance targets set by the Company such as safety, delivery, quality, productivity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Achieve departmental KPI's (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity etc.)
• Attend and actively contribute to production meetings when required
• Conduct manufacturing and inspection processes (set/run machines, pack, assemble etc.), in accordance with documented standards
• Ensure accurate completion of production and quality documentation
• The position of Team Leader requires flexibility i.e. to move departments or positions, to meet production requirements or eliminate bottleneck
• Work overtime, when required, in accordance with Employee Handbook
• Generate and implement ideas to continuously improve individual, team and process performance through the deployment of lean manufacturing concepts
• Take ownership/responsibility for work produced so that no item is passed to the next process, unless we are certain that it meets the required quality standard i.e. ensure the team does not produce, accept or pass on poor quality.

You will be joining one of the UK's largest manufacturers of speciality organic chemicals. The successful candidate will be an experienced, qualified Mechanical Fitter.
Role and Responsibilities
• Mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance work.
• Mechanical plant installation and modification work.
• Statutory inspections - pressure testing, plant integrity and commissioning work.
• The ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a range of departments to ensure that daily goals are achieved.
General
• The use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
• Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.IT literacy and commercial awareness are desirable skills.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• You will need to have a recognised mechanical apprenticeship and educated to ONC or City and Guilds level 3 (RQF level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering as a minimum.
• Ideally you would also have training with MEWP's, Abrasive wheels, Welding equipment and Confined Spaces.

• Be actively involved in maintaining plant operating efficiency, safety and environmental standards.

• Knowledge of quality and environmental management systems, manufacturing equipment control systems and COSHH in a chemical manufacturing environment.

• Following up with suppliers concerning order status and to communicate delivery information with all departments
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Use of MIEtrak CRM is desirable.
• Microsoft Office software.
• Strong commercial experience preferably within the engineering, tube manipulation sector.
