Sub-contract machine shop in the Halesowen area in the west midlands. Our field of work includes small batch work, one offs on various small to medium components from aerospace to Steam Engines and we are currently looking to recruit a programmer setter operator this is a permanent position offering a good working environment and the opportunity to work within a strong and friendly team in a thriving and successful business.

Role and Responsibilities
• Experience of operating CNC Machines with Fanuc / HAAS
• To operate relevant machines to run efficiently.
• Assist in the development of new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize performance.

Personal Attributes
• Good communication skills, Flexible can-do attitude.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and work to timetables and deadlines.
• Ability to improve and implement best practice.

OTHER INFO
Lunch time 30mins at 1pm Monday to Thursday no lunch on a Friday.
Sometimes Saturdays are required.
Rate of pay between 18,000 To 21,000 Depending on experience.
Overtime is available at 1.25 over 40hrs
Break times are 15mins at 10am Monday to Friday.

Workforce are recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician - offering a starting salary of 35,000 - 40,000 DOE - to work for our client in the Wolverhampton area.
Role and Responsibilities
• Using 2D and 3D software such as Tekla and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of light gauge and SFS structural design is essential.
• Ability to convert between 2D and 3D easily and extrapolate drawings from 3D modelling.
• Progress drawing projects, including design/modification sign-off as required.
• Undertake design and analysis of designs as required.
• Provide customer support when needed.

General
• Understand alternative materials and production methods, have technical, practical and scientific knowledge.
• To be able to use drawings, 3D models and computer designs to express creative ideas.
• Be comfortable to explain ideas and technical data to colleagues who may not be from a technical function within the business.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Use of AutoCAD and Tekla
• Microsoft Office software.
• 5 GCSE's or equivalent, including A*-C: Maths, English and Science
• Appropriate education for the task - Structural / Civil Engineering Degree

I am recruiting for a client who are a global leading supplier of manufacturer of high performance fasteners, sealing, precision engineered components. They are currently looking to recruit for a CNC Setter/ Operator (Turner), As the Setter/Operator you will be responsible for setting and operating Victor model lathes using Fanuc controls.

Day to day duties will include the following:
• Ability to accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards.
• Must have experience operating and setting CNC Lathes.
• Experience with Victor model Lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Experience in the production of one-off to 5k batches of fasteners would be advantageous.
• Must be able to work from technical drawings.
• Be able to conduct first off quality inspection
• Be able to ensure that batches are produced at a consistent quality for the duration of the run.

FOLLOWING QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
_At least 3 years' experience CNC Setting and Operating - Essential
