The company manufactures for the automotive sector and produces small to medium size parts. The setters will be responsible for starting a batch and running the job off, this is a setting and operating role. The company is growing and there in turn is good opportunity for progression.

The CNC Setter Programmer is responsible for producing high quality parts using a variety of different machines, tools and materials. They are also responsible for maintaining the machines and keeping accurate records of production data.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will be using a variety of CNC Lathe machines (mainly Goratu Gemini) and lathes to produce high quality parts
• Working to strict Quality Procedures / Quality Systems
• Will understand and be able to follow drawings, specifications, and complex instructions/dimensions
• Consistently produce high quality parts, dimensionally and cosmetically, liaising with the Quality Inspectors at all times
• Using measurement equipment
• Maintaining clear and accurate production documentation and data
• Perform maintenance and daily checks/calibration on machines and equipment
• Will be expected to use own initiative to solve problems and trouble-shoot when they arise
• Will be expected to work at a fast pace

JOB SKILLS:
• Good understanding of technical drawings and able to set and program machines accordingly
• Experience in using Goratu Gemini, CNC Lathes
• Understanding of various CNC Control Systems (mainly Siemens)
• Experience in machining using exotic materials such as Inconel and Duplex
• Good level of physical fitness as role requires long periods of standing, lifting, bending etc.
• Able to plan and organise multiple jobs at the same time
• An eye for detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Must have a positive way of thinking, be willing to train and help push the business forward

EDUCATION
• CITY & GUILDS / NVQ IN ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT, OR TIME SERVED
• SECONDARY SCHOOL / COLLEGE PREFERRED, ALTHOUGH NOT ESSENTIAL

They are currently looking to recruit for a Materials Planner, as the Materials Planner you will be responsible processing orders, raising production paperwork and ensure effective routing.
Day to day duties will include the following:
• To process orders with an engineering element. Raise production paperwork and ensure the most cost-effective routing, paying particular attention to quality and lead times.
• To keep abreast of both internal and sub contract capability and capacity to enable customer delivery expectations to be consistently achieved.
• To maximise profitability by improving planned routing wherever possible and minimising waste of materials, transportation and labour.
• To maintain always a professional but friendly working relationship with all suppliers and colleagues within The Group.
• To assist the sales department (as required) in completing quotations for jobs that are expected to have an engineering element.
• To liaise with all other departments to expedite the intended workflow and help resolve quality and logistical issues.
