A position has become available for an experienced conventionaltoolmaker to undertake tool room activities for our client who are a renowned manufacturer of fastener tooling and detailed machined partsto the automotive industry and other industries.
Day to Day duties will include the following:
To build, repair and maintain tools, jigs and fixtures (Essential)
Producing new tools, repairs and maintenance to pre-determined times and estimates (Essential)
Strip, rebuild of tools for maintenance and re grind (Essential)
Provide tool maintenance service (Essential)
Die polishing and refurbishment (Essential)
Use of measuring equipment and operations of lathes, millers, grinders etc (Essential)
The successful candidate for the position of Tool maker will have the following experience:
•Strong conventional toolmaking background in manufacturing environment (Essential)
•Experienced in various forms of grinding (Essential)
•Possess knowledge of working with steel, brass and aluminium (Essential)
•Competent in the operation of lathes, millers, grinders, presses, CNC Machines etc (Essential)
•Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometres, vernier's etc (Essential)
