Mechanical Maintenace engineer

Job Description

Our Client is looking for a candidate with drive and enthusiasm, need to be hands on and be competent in engineering in order to be conversant with all rolling mill and and presswork machinery. The succesful candidate willl eventually take ownership of the day to day mechanical maintenance Engineering issues, will also include preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning developing and undertaking scheduled machine maintenance
* Maintain control of STL consumables for G10/20
* Responding to breakdowns and engineering issues
* Mechanical Fault diagnosis
* Equiptment repair/improvements
* Creating S.O.P (standard operating Procedures)

Quality Engineer Role Overview:

As the Quality Engineer you will be required to manage and maintain the ISO9001:2015 quality management system. You will also be required to maintain quality procedures, processes and documentation in relation to the quality management system.

Quality Engineer Specific Skills and Experience:

• Experience in managing and maintaining the ISO9001:2015 quality management system (Essential)
• Knowledge of the implementation of ISO9001:2015 (Essential)
• A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor practices (Essential)
• Proficiency in goods inward and despatch inspection (Essential)
• Conversant in utilising measuring equipment (callipers, micrometers, gauges) (Essential)
• Proficient in understanding technical drawings including GD&T (Essential)
• Experienced in utilising 8D, 5why problem resolution methods (Essential)
• Conversant in successfully resolving internal, supplier and customer rejects through utilising root cause analysis / corrective and preventative actions (Essential)

Due to increased company demand, the vacancy for a full time permanent Mechanical Fitters/Testers has been created, this role would suit individuals that have extensive Mechanical Fitting/Testing experience, gained from a large manufacturing organisation preferably. Ideally you would be available to start immediately or within a short working notice period.
Role:


* Joining of pipes using brazing and soldering techniques.
* Assembly and joining of pipes up to 32mm diameter for compressor sets using connectors such as Parker and Swagelok.
* Joining of pipes using flanges and couplings up to 4 diameter.
* Assist with general assembly of compressor sets and packages.
* Manipulation of copper, stainless and finned pipes (4-38mm) using cold bending techniques.
* To ensure health & safety requirements are maintained at all times
* Adhere to Quality Procedures
* Work in a lean environment, while adhering to general '5S' and good housekeeping.
* Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.

* NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or recognised equivalent or time served apprenticeship
* Ability to pick compressor components

General
• Understand alternative materials and production methods, have technical, practical and scientific knowledge.
• To be able to use drawings, 3D models and computer designs to express creative ideas.
• To be able to produce clear, concise written reports.
• Be comfortable to explain ideas and technical data to colleagues who may not be from a technical function within the business.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Use of AutoCAD and Solidworks as needed.
• Microsoft Office software.
• 5 GCSE's or equivalent, including A*-C: Maths, English and Science
