Workforce are recruiting for a Quality Control Manager for our prestigious Wolverhampton client. They are a secondary construction contractor, who supply secondary steel products to larger contractors. This is a full time permanent vacancy for a major multinational firm. RESPONSIBILITIES
•Supervises the Quality Control functions/activities of a project or its parts, including Quality Control inspection schedules and the collection of Quality Records.
•Supports the Construction Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters.
•Assesses the implementation of the Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans on the site.
•Allocates Quality Control personnel to the various areas of site activity.
•Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required Quality Records.
•Evaluates the qualifications of inspection personnel.
•Supports the construction roles in the management and control of subcontractors.
•Supports and participate to all the internal/external audits.
•Coordinates the relevant Tracking Systems for correct identification of materials.
•Supervises the correct equipment calibration management activities.
•Cooperate with the Project Quality Engineer (PQE) to analyses of non-conformities.

Qualifications and / or Training requirements:
•IOSH Managing Safely
•Associate member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
•Internal Auditor (ISO 9001:2015) with demonstrable experience of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party audits.
•Diploma in Quality Management and ideally educated in a Construction /Civil engineering discipline e.g. Building / Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineer.
•Demonstrable site-based rail experience is essential, ideally across the full range of rail-related clients.
•Experience across a range of construction disciplines (civils, building etc) would be beneficial.
•Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation, preferably trained to Train the Trainer level
