Workforce are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager - offering a starting salary between 40,000 - 45,000 DOE and pension contributions - to work for our client in the Dudley area. You will be working in an Industrial Fabrication environment therefore knowledge of welding and fabrication is key. Your general working hours will be Monday to Friday 9am -5 pm however flexibility is required to cover production needs.
Role and Responsibilities
• Planning and operating of all works, from inception to site delivery.
• Manage and coordinate production staff whilst ensuring all company regulations are adhered to.
• Ensure projects are completed to client deadlines
• To identify and manage any issues with work schedules, not limited to but including quality control, production defects and material supply issues.
• Ensure the administration side of production is managed.
• Time management of multiple projects, communication between the sales department and other suppliers.
Knowledge Required:
• Basic sheet metal knowledge, bending, welding etc.
• Basic process/manufacturing knowledge - the understanding of buildability.
• Following all Health& Safety and GMP practices and procedures
• Proven track record of managing a fabrication facility.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office as standard.
• A good understanding of engineering and fabrication

Base: This Workshop role will be based from our Cradley Heath production facility.

Role Description: Lift & Engineering Services Ltd seeks a recruit to the role in our West Midlands operations where we manufacture our own brand of lifts. The junior fabricator will report to the Workshop Manager. Following a satisfactory probationary period, the junior fabricator will undertake an apprenticeship leading to an NVQ3 level qualification. The applicants level of previous experience will determine whether an intermediate level NVQ2 qualification has to be attained first.

Experience & Qualifications

VAn NVQ qualification of relevance to the role, at Level 2 or higher or relevant GCSEs or A Levels Qualifications of a technical, mathematical and English basis
VBe willing to enter into a formal apprenticeship

VAn understanding of the importance of workplace health and safety

In the Course of the Apprenticeship and Training the junior employee will be expected to learn

The installation mates assist and learn the trade from experienced electricians involved in lift removals, installations and modernisations. Following successful completion of a probation period, this role should lead to an NVQ3 level qualification through an apprenticeship. The mate will also get some experience in lift engineering

VMinimum 1 years experience with work on construction sites. Experience of electrical works would be an advantage

VAn NVQ qualification of relevance to the role, at Level 2 or higher or relevant GCSEs or A Levels Qualifications of a technical, mathematical and English basis
VBe willing to enter into a formal apprenticeship

VAn understanding of the importance of workplace health and safety

Applicants for this role will be required to:

VEnter into a formal apprenticeship and training contract

VWork in a team of electrical engineers who support our lift operations and are under direction of a regional Supervisor

VWork directly under the supervision of the electrical engineer to whom they are paired

VBe mobile based, flexible to work on various contracts around the UK as workload dictates. This will include working away from home and lodging away from home

VReceive a clear DBS check

VFollowing completion of adequate qualification, undertake and pass a Construction Skills Certification Scheme test if they do not already possess a CSCS card

VReport to our offices and relevant manager, as required

Communicate with our Safety, Health, Environment & Quality team as required in the performance of the work and undertaking their trai
