CONTRACTS MANAGER28/3/2018
Construction contracts managers for the aluminium glazing industry oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within its budget. As a contracts manager, you could be working on a wide variety of projects, from office developments to houses or schools and colleges to road and rail schemes across the United Kingdom. The successful candidates will be part of a two person contract department with a team of seven installers.
Skills
5 years + experience in a contract management role with contract value ranging from 2k - 70k
Experience of handling budgets and turnover to 1m
Managing activities conforming to recognised quality standards like ISO 9001;2015
Able to understand working drawings and knowledge of aluminium glazing
Receiving orders, issuing to drawing office, requisitioning and ordering materials
Liaising with customer and architect in a professional manager without delay
Agreeing starts dates and organising delivery and installation on time
Keeping a well documented contract file
Using data and information to produce reports
Method statements and risk assessments on for each contract
Leading & developing people and teams
Raising sales invoices
Ability to work unsupervised, to deadlines and on budget
Due diligence
Site visits and site surveys with accuracy
Qualifications
Full driving licence
Site visitor cscs card and up to date H&S environmental test
Recognised H&S safety training like IOSHH Working Safety or SSSTS, SMSTS
Good written and verbal skills
Good ICT skills in excel and word, knowledge of CAD advantageous
Further Training
Must undertake continued professional development

Salary : 23,000 - 25,000 pa

Workforce are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer - offering a starting salary in the region of 30,000 - to work for an industrial Steel Fabrication Company in the Dudley area. You will be required to have experience in both Electrical and Mechanical enigneering to maintain a number of factory based fabrication machines and mobile machines for site work.
Role and Responsibilities:
•Have experience working within a factory setting maintaining a variety of fabrication machines including Plasma and Press Machines and Guillotines.
•Comfortable and familiarity of working at 10-40v.
•Have experience PAT testing.
•Implement planned Preventative Maintenance measures.
•Follow maintenance schedules as outlined.
•Troubleshoot problems.
•Work towards Health and Safety requirements at all times.
•Report any issues to the appropriate Managers.

Workforce are recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative and Van Driver - paying up to 9.00 per hour DOE - to work for steel fabrication company based in Cradley Heath. You will be carrying out a varied role in the stores, operating forklifts, driving steel products to clients and picking and preparing stock for distribution.
Role and Responsibilities:
•For insurance purposes, you must be over 21 years old and have held a Class B Driving licence for over 2 years.
•Experienced in working to order sheets picking and packing of steel products
•Counterbalance and Reach forklift truck licences required.
•Experience driving long wheel base vans is advantageous.
•Health and Safety training or experience is advantageous.
•IT skills for stock control and stock allocation
