World leader in forging and machining are seeking a CNC Miller to join the dynamic team in an exciting opportunity to be part of a global company which remains a family run business at heart.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Producing parts as required to the specifications and drawings.
• Operating Siemens 840D controls.
• Setting one off components using clamps, angle plates, etc.
• Software use, modelling using Solid works, programming using NCG Cam (Training will be provided on software).
• Marking off.
• Use of overhead cranes.
• Correctly identifying parts using hard stamping.
• Deburring components.
• Maintaining machinery, swarf removal, routine oiling and greasing etc.
• Carry out daily bookings.
• Adhere to and encourage health and safety methods and procedures.
• Inspection for all components throughout the process.
• Make sure all Machine Shop areas are tidy and organised.
• Forklift truck driving.
• Complete flexibility and mobility of labour as necessary.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Report to Machine Shop Supervisor with any problems or issues when necessary. For example: any health and safety issues or machine breakdowns must be reported.
• Inspection of work. Any non-conforming processes must be reported to team leader or Manager.
• Instruct and help train other Machine Shop personnel
• Continually keeping the department of clean and tidy as possible

Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.

Certification / QA Technician

Salary: 20,000 - 25,000 per annum

My client who is a world leader in forging and engineering is looking to recruit a Certification / QA Technician to join their Test House facility.

Reporting to the Test House Manager you will be tasked with providing customer certifications along with carrying out stamp testing activities for test piece identification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compile customer certification to facilitate the sale of goods in a timely and accurate manner.
• Liaise with IACS surveyors to complete certifications to customer requirements.
• Stamp/ identify test pieces.
• Conduct basic contract reviews to facilitate accurate customer certification.
• Liaise with customers in a professional manner on certification requirements.
• Learn basic mechanical testing for certification purposes.
• Deal with F.A.I.R. and Concessions for customer orders.
• Provide technical support to production and commercial teams on any aspect of documentation.
• Provide support during customer and third-party audits (BSI, Lloyds, BAE etc.).
• Work and adhere to HSE and Environment guidelines.

Key Requirements:

• Experienced in producing accurate and timely certification packs to customer requirements (Essential)
• Possess a good understanding of manufacturing processes (Essential)
• Proficient in understanding drawing requirements and technical specifications (Essential)
• Experienced in working closely with shop floor, management, customers and visiting IACS surveyors ensuring documentation is accurate and on time (Essential)
• Proficiency in supporting customer and third-party audits (BSI, Lloyds, BAE) (Essential)
• Conversant in working and adhering to HSE and Environment guidelines (Essential)
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Word / Excel (Essential)

Our field of work includes small batch work, one offs on various small to medium components from aerospace to Steam Engines and we are currently looking to recruit a programmer setter operator this is a permanent position offering a good working environment and the opportunity to work within a strong and friendly team in a thriving and successful business.

Role and Responsibilities
• Experience of operating CNC Machines with Fanuc / HAAS
• To operate relevant machines to run efficiently.
• Assist in the development of new and existing manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize performance.

OTHER INFO
Lunch time 30mins at 1pm Monday to Thursday no lunch on a Friday.
Sometimes Saturdays are required.
Rate of pay between 18,000 To 21,000 Depending on experience.
Overtime is available at 1.25 over 40hrs
Break times are 15mins at 10am Monday to Friday.
