Role and Responsibilities:
• Have a background of pipe welding up to 30/40mm.
• Ability to weld to Class 1 standards and NDT tested welds is advantageous
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding would be advantageous.
You will be required to pass a weld test as a part of the recruitment process.

Role and Responsibilities
• Using software such as Autodesk Inventor to produce 3D designs and AutoCAD 2D to produce engineering drawings.
• Be able to produce GA drawings, fabrication/engineering drawings and detailed assembly drawings.
• Be able to produce calculations and select materials and components to suit needs and requirements of the customer.
• Be able to work from Customer technical specifications and survey data and develop detailed drawings for fabrication.
General
• Assist with design records and document administration.
• Assist with Site Surveys.
• Understand alternative materials and production methods, have technical, practical and scientific knowledge.
• To be able to use drawings, 3D models and computer designs to express creative ideas.
• To be able to produce clear, concise written reports.
• Be comfortable to explain ideas and technical data to colleagues who may not be from a technical function within the business.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with a design engineering role.
• Mechanical Engineering background
• HNC or higher in Engineering and/or Design.
• AutoCAD 2D/3D and Autodesk Inventor 3D.

• 5 GCSE's or equivalent, including A*-C: Maths, English and Science

• Setting, operating and manufacturing a variety of small components.
• Manage time effectively to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
• Use of a wide range of measuring equipment to check components after manufacture.
• Maintain a safe working environment whilst following Health & Safety Procedures and Policies at all times.
• Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
• Proactively identify & make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in CNC Operations and programming. You will also have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Experience using Solidworks in a CNC machining environment would be advantageous.
• Skilled use of CNC Heidenhain controls, Edge Cam and Autocad
• Conversant in engineering drawing practice.
